Edinburgh Living Wage: £9.07 per hour (including living wage allowance, pro-rata for part-time and 40 weeks sessional)
Hours: 15 hours per week
We require 4 cleaners to work Monday to Friday 3pm - 6pm. Two of the posts are 40 weeks sessional, and two are 52 weeks, all posts are permanent.
This role requires the successful candidate to be flexible and to be able to work in different locations as listed below, covering any absences and supporting the team where needed. At times there will be locking up responsibilities and there may be some lone working.
Post 1 - (52 week) Waverley Court, Edinburgh Bus Station, Southside Community centre, South bridge Community centre, Abbeymount Tech base, Broughton Market store
Post 2 - (52 week) City Mortuary, Cowan's Close, Holyrood IT centre, Maple Centre, Nelson Hall, Access Point, New Parliament house
Post 3 - (40 week) Abbyhill Primary School, St Mary's Primary School, Royal Mile Primary School
Post 4 - (40 week) Preston Street Primary School, St Leonards Nursery, Hope Cottage Nursery

These posts are considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
The City of Edinburgh Council applies a Living Wage allowance to ensure that all employees earn at least £9.07 per hour. Successful applicants will be paid the hourly rate as advertised, plus the allowance, in order to bring their earnings to £9.07 per hour.
