RPS Energy is a multi-disciplinary consultancy, providing Technical, Commercial and Project Management Support services in the fields of operations, geoscience, engineering and HS&E to the energy sector worldwide.

The RPS Specialist Geology team, comprises of biostratigraphers, reservoir geologists & chemical stratigraphers. Working as part of the wider RPS Energy group, the team have deep expertise in completing projects across all basins throughout the world. We currently have an exciting opportunity and seeking to add to our stratigraphy team.

Role outline

You will be working predominantly on your routine and wellsite projects and additionally working closely with the Biostratigraphy team lead along with the Technical BD Manager, MultiClient Manager and the Reservoir Geology team to develop strategies to grow the multi-client sales business and further develop the customer demographic for our suite of services.

Main responsibilities

  • Biostratigraphic evaluation of slide material and data archives to support stratigraphic well interpretations and regional stratigraphic modelling
  • Project managing multiple projects on occasions
  • Business development and engagement with business stakeholders
  • To undertake technical marketing presentations
  • Conduct and attend client meetings
  • Personnel mentoring and development
  • Attending wellsite projects in UKCS/NOCS and internationally

Skills required

  • Palynology
  • Prior O&G industry-based experience
  • Working knowledge of ODM/IC, Stratabugs and GIS is advantageous
  • Project Management
  • Business Development
  • Financial acumen.
