Hillcrest Beachlands is an Ofsted 'Good' registered residential home for six young people aged 11 - 18 with complex social, emotional and mental health needs. Our beautiful residential home, located on Hayling Island, within easy walking distance of the beach, offers a therapeutic model of care to our residents which is designed to provide an enriching and positive environment. Our services offer a stable, secure and supportive environment, in which the children and young people we care for can develop the skills and confidence necessary to help them fulfil their potential.Job Summary and Duties
Working as a Residential Care Worker you will join an established and experienced care team in the mentoring and educating of children and young people who can display challenging behaviour. This position focuses on developing independent life skills whilst providing a therapeutic care environment. The role at times may be challenging but will always be rewarding.
We have positive links with many local youth clubs including, Scouts, Sea Cadets, Army Cadets, Football, Rugby and Judo. Staff also support the young people to access a wide range of community facilities, such as, Skate parks, swimming pools, outdoor gyms, trampoline parks, go karting, trips away and many more.
This role is offered on a full time basis, working on a 2 on 3 off shift pattern which includes 1-2 sleeps in’s per shift (paid at an additional rate).
