The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides acute and specialist services to the residents of Hillingdon, and to those living in the surrounding areas of Ealing, Harrow, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, giving a total catchment population of over 350,000 people. Hillingdon Hospital is the only acute hospital in Hillingdon and provides elective and emergency services including a busy Accident & Emergency Department and Maternity Unit. The Trust also provides some diagnostic, elective inpatient surgery and outpatient clinics on our Mount Vernon site.
The Contracts, Income and Costing Team negotiate, agree and monitor all Commissioner Contracts on behalf of the Trust. The Team are responsible for reporting all NHS Clinical Income to the Board (c£220m), ensuring all income is reported accurately. The Team also produce Reference Costs and Service Line Reports to ensure that Clinical Teams are aware of their financial position and work closely with the Programme Management Office to ensure income opportunities are maximised.
The Head of Contracts, Income and Costing will lead a team to ensure that the Trust’s Clinical Income is planned, negotiated, contracted, billed and reported to the highest standards. The team is responsible for providing expert advice on all issues relating to Income, the National Tariff and reference costs. The post holder will be expected to work closely with commissioning colleagues so must have excellent communication skills.
