We have 4 vacancies in the two Environment teams of the South-Central area of NRW. The teams have a wide range of responsibilities such as water quality, water resources, agriculture, fisheries, conservation and biodiversity. We are particularly interested in a fisheries background for one of the vacancies and for experience in biodiversity for another. The lasts two vacancies will focus on the other areas of the team’s work including environmental regulation and incident investigations.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional officer who can work at a fast pace, often to tight deadlines and who is able to effectively prioritise their workload to deliver more for the environment.
Qualifications and Skills
You will have a degree level qualification in a scientific or environmental subject area or the equivalent level of knowledge.
You will have good literacy, numeracy and communication skills including well developed customer facing skills.
You will have analytical skills that enables you to process and analyse technical information.
You will have good inter-personal and influencing skills and able develop and sustain good working relationships.
Hold a current full UK valid licence to drive NRW fleet vehicles (cars and vans).
