As an SRE for HPE Nimble Cloud Data Service, you will lead the efforts of application deployment, reliability, and performance alongside the engineering and infrastructure teams. In this role, you will wear many hats but your skills will be crucial in the following:
· Experience working in a 24/7 production engineering organization participating on an on-call rotation · Write automation code for provisioning and operating infrastructure at a massive scale · Design, build and operate Cloud infrastructure to enable reliable and rapid deployment of microservices with effective monitoring and resilient operations · Identify and drive opportunities to improve automation for code deployment, management and visibility of application services · Work with development teams to make sure the applications is production ready, scalable and reliable from the grounds up
· Expertise in configuration management with a framework such as, Chef (Puppet or Ansible), CloudFormation or Terraform · Proficiency with a programming language like Python and shell scripting to automate tasks · You have deployed Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure and worked with product teams to launch and run microservices in production · Proficiency with AWS management (EC2, SNS/SQS, RDS) and expertise in Linux server administration · Ability to conduct thorough investigations, including a deep dive, into reliability and scaling issues from both a code and infrastructure perspective · Hands on experience with ECS · Understanding of networking and network topologies · Experience with system monitoring and logging tools like New Relic; Datadog etc · Experience deploying changes in a production environment · Experience with GIT
