RELIEF POSITION

(DESPATCH/PATIENT CARE CO-ORDINATOR)

37.5 hours a week

£9.40 per hour plus unsociable shift uplift, 30-60% evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Permanent role includes, evenings, weekends and bank holidays and overnights.

Based Longbow, Shrewsbury

We are a not for profit Company providing a range of medical services for patients 24/7, 365 days a year. We are currently looking to recruit a talented and team spirited Relief Call Handler working within the Care Co-ordination Centre and providing cover for our despatch role.

This is 37.5 hours per week contract and you will be covering holidays and sickness across weekdays, weekends and bank holidays as required. Your rota will include a mix of daytime, evenings and some overnights over seven days a week including Bank Holidays. You will receive a 30% uplift for evenings after 8pm and overnight to 6 am including Saturday daytime, 60% uplift for Sunday shifts.

This is a dual role where, as a despatcher, you will also be responsible for the smooth running and efficiency of the ‘Patient Pathway’ in ensuring that all Home Visits and Base Appointments are undertaken in a timely manner and in accordance with laid down procedures and timescales.

Additionally, as part of the Care Co-ordination centre, you will be supporting a clinically lead team whose main role is to coordinate and facilitate the care of patients being admitted to hospital from their GP surgeries. You will also act as a single point of contact for GP’s accessing emergency secondary care.

You will be expected to deliver an administration service with the highest of standards ensuring that a quality service is delivered to the business.

You must have a standard of education comparable to five GCSE’s or equivalent Grade A-C or 4-9 including Maths and English, ECDL or equivalent experience, have an excellent telephone manner, be computer literate and dedicated to providing the very best patient experience. Previous call handling experience and or customer service experience an advantage. Full training will be given upon any offer of employment.
