Working 15 hours a week alongsidethe multidisciplinaryteam, you will assistantin leading and supporting service users with their physical health needs. Following their care plan, you will observe their progression andidentifychanges to empower their recovery.

With previous experience fromthe NHS and/or Private Care, you will liaise with the clinical team on the status of each service user and will be responsible for documenting and updating their care records.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • First level nurse with evidence of professional development, relevant skills and knowledge.
  • Relevant experience in a similar environment
  • Knowledge of NEWs2 National Guidelines
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of how to communicate with individuals living with a mental health condition
  • Good understanding of Infections control requirements and how some physical health conditions may impact on this role.

As the Physical Health Nurse you will:

  • Undertake physical observations and ability to analyse results.
  • Communicate/liaise with external and internal professionals and share information appropriately
  • Organise any outpatient appointments for all individual within our service.
  • Undertake phlebotomy needs.
  • Read Blood results and provide the results to RC for further review.

Location:Sturt's Lane, Walton on the Hill, Surrey, KT20 7RQ

You will be working at Sturt House, a recovery focused, rehabilitation unit providing specialist mental health treatment for males aged 18 and over.

Sturt House is committed to delivering a high standard of care, with the Service User encouraged and supported to be actively involved in the development and review of their treatment and pathway in accordance with their own abilities.
