You’ll build trusted relationships with business stakeholders – and use the most exciting new technologies available – to create data-driven programmes that transform their organisations. We encourage consideration of flexible ways of working, both formal and informal arrangements that allow for the best outcomes for our people and our clients. If this opportunity is of interest to you with some flexibility, please do discuss with us.

Your role

Our M&A Operations Consulting team is looking for a M&A-focused Senior Consultant who can combine functional supply chain understanding with large scale transaction execution experience to join our growing team. If you are passionate about working with COO, CPO and CFO functions of FTSE 100 and equivalent organisations to share in the execution and transformation of the most iconic and complex deals, read on!

We bring a systematic and process led approach to our clients, utilising our analytical and digital capabilities to help our clients solve the challenges they face today and design the future needs of their businesses. Our client work includes digital supply chain transformation, supply chain planning (IBP), manufacturing technical transfer, sourcing and procurement, strategy and operating model design.

Our approach is to work collaboratively with our clients to understand the forces that are driving transactional and transformational change, identify opportunities and develop solutions that are appropriate for the new organisation as a whole. This, coupled with our industry expertise, enables us to deliver meaningful and contextually relevant recommendations to our clients.

As a Senior Consultant in the team, you will help our clients transform their supply chain whilst building your own skills and knowledge. As part of our team, you will develop and implement leading edge operational strategies and responsible supply chains enabled by innovative processes and technologies.

Whilst fulfilling your own career and personal growth ambitions, you will be simultaneously contributing to practice development, refining our industry-leading approaches to maintain our cutting edge. This could also be through supporting pieces of thought leadership and developing new propositions as well as taking opportunities to contribute to the development and management of our team. With coaching and mentoring from the wider team, you will also be contributing to our healthy pipeline by leading and supporting the development of sales proposals or pitches.

Responsibilities

· Playing a key role as a member of one of our project teams working directly with clients to plan and deliver a fit-for-purpose supply chain function at the date of separation or integration (‘Day 1’)

· Helping to define and deliver a supply chain transaction execution readiness approach that enables monitoring and corrective intervention in the run up to Day 1

· Playing a key role and supporting committed teams to:

· deliver impact assessments for core supply chain processes (order-to-fulfill, procure-to-pay)

· define and assess synergy targets and business plans, including management of synergy realisation

· perform analysis and synthesise supply chain and other data into useful insights

· Deliver in a dynamic and time-sensitive programme environment, managing multiple tasks, requirements and stakeholders

· Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

· Proactively driving your own development through access to on the job coaching and an array of training options

· Supporting business development by working with the Deloitte leadership team to identify, pursue and realise opportunities

Your work, your choice

At Deloitte we believe the best impact is the value we add, not the hours we sit at our desk. We carefully consider agile ways of working, both formal and informal, that allow for the best impact for our people and our clients. Please speak to your recruiter about the working pattern that works best for you.

Location:

You will be based in a Deloitte London office, however travel will be required for client based projects. Whilst some clients are London based, we do spend time on site with regional and international clients. We specify full mobility for our consulting roles but we make arrangements respectfully.

Work pattern:

This is a permanent contract opportunity. The role can be worked on a full-time basis.

Your professional experience

· Experience of delivering the integration or separation of a supply chain function (or element thereof) during an M&A transaction, either as an external consultant or in an in-house corporate strategy role

· Supply chain and operations industry experience gained through either delivering consulting assignments for large scale clients or in management roles within a GxP supply chain, manufacturing, contract manufacturing (CMO) environment or sourcing and procurement

· Experience leading project teams and being responsible for delivering business critical outcomes in a time-pressured environment

· Knowledge of process definition and process mapping, requirements gathering and prioritisation built through project work

· A high level of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and report writing skills, as well as broad consulting skills which should include interviewing, data analysis and facilitation of client workshops
