The Business
The housing association currently have a mixed care and support portfolio of supported housing, floating support and CQC registered care homes and independent living schemes; supporting customers with a range of needs including mental health, homelessness, young people, senior living and learning disabilities. Their services encompass care and support delivery, facilities management as well as ancillary services such as meals and hospitality.

The Role
The focus of this role is to professionally lead the care and support team during any span of duty, ensuring the provision of a safe, effective and efficient care and support service to older people and people with learning difficulties / disabilities is maintained, which respects their rights and choices and meets their individual needs, inline with CQC Regulations and organisational policies and procedures
The role will also have the following tasks and responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and support for care and support staff and act as a champion for the safety and dignity of the service users
• To maintain skills and knowledge and ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available
• Ensure the ongoing safety of the service users, staff and visitors through systematic assessment, monitoring and reviewing processes
• Ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to care and support delivery are maintained and effectively used
• Manage and support staff to delivery excellent services through target setting, monitoring performance, training and support

The Candidate
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have the following skills and experience:
• Experience of working within an Extra Care service provision environment regulated by CQC
• Experience or the ability to manage the performance of others
• Genuine passion and enthusiasm for inclusion of groups and individuals
• Excellent communication written and verbal skills
• Levels of resilience and flexibility
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
• IT skills e.g word processing, email, excel
• Strong Awareness of Health & safety Issues within care settings
• Good applied Knowledge of Care Quality Commission Regulations and requirements
• Ability to respect an individuals rights and dignity at all time
• Understanding of Personalisation and how to provide personalised service
• Awareness on Individuals emotional needs
• Knowledge of support planning and documentation of records

The Package
This position will initially be a 12 week temporary contract, which will be treated as a probationary period, with the intention of the role becoming permanent beyond this 12 weeks.
The role is full time, working a minimum of 35 hours a week on a rota basis between 07:00 and 22:00: The hourly rate for the position is £9.74, but there are also additional payments for on call workers. You will also benefit from the below benefits:
