Are you an enthusiastic pharmacist looking to develop your clinical knowledge and skills? We have an exciting opportunity for a patient focused pharmacist to join our clinical pharmacy team based at Hopewood Park Hospital in Sunderland.
Applicants should have excellent communication and team working skills and self-motivation to contribute to the development and delivery of the pharmacy service.
We welcome applications from pharmacist colleagues working in all sectors of the profession. Prior working experience in mental health is not essential, as a comprehensive programme of education, training and clinical supervision will be provided. We will support you to provide high quality services to patients and healthcare professionals.
We provide pharmacy and medicines optimisation services to all of our inpatient areas and the postholder will have opportunities to work across different specialities including adult acute and rehabilitation services at Hopewood Park and older persons’ services at Monkwearmouth Hospital.
We also provide support to various other services and there will be opportunities to work into learning disability services, crisis teams in Sunderland and South Tyneside as well as the psychiatric liaison team based at Sunderland Royal Hospital.
Across our Trust, pharmacy staff are fully integrated into and regarded as valued members of the multi-disciplinary team. We have a number of pharmacist independent prescribers, who are active within a range of clinical services including dementia teams, STOMP clinics, Children and Young People services and community adult mental health services.
