PneumaCare Limited (pneumacare.com) is a small medical device manufacturing company with headquarters in Cambridge, UK. We build an innovative instrument for monitoring breathing that has shown great potential for safely assisting respiratory and other healthcare professionals with making diagnoses and developing treatment plans for their patients.

We currently have a contract-to-hire position available for a Customer Service Technician.

Customer Service Technician Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves customers by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems.

  • Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.

  • Performs minor repairs and maintenance for products in the field.

  • Supports customers by answering product and service questions and suggesting additional applications for the product within clinical environments

  • Supports sales activities by answering product and service questions and suggesting applications for products and services.

  • Installs products and provide training on the proper use and operation of our product.

  • Maintains customer records by updating account information.

  • Maintains financial accounts by processing customer adjustments.

  • Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analysing customer needs.

  • Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analysing customer information.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

About Working for PneumaCare

PneumaCare is a virtual company with 100% of staff working remotely. Business meetings are primarily virtual; as the current travel restrictions allow, we expect to hold 2-4 face-to-face meetings each month in the Cambridge area. Other job related domestic and international travel is required for this position. Staff performance is primarily based on meeting measurable objectives and completing projects.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Must be a UK resident and have the right to work in the UK

  • University degree, technical college qualification, or mechanical / electrical engineering HND are assets.

  • Previous experience working as a technician or customer service representative with medical devices required; experience with respiratory instruments a plus.
