Our Strategic Marketing and Communications team is currently looking for a Clients and Marketing Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract, with extensive experience of implementation of both internal and external communication activities using multi-channel tools. Sitting within a team of marketing, communication and creative specialists, the Clients and Marketing Manager will support the growth of the commercial and buildings sector, working directly with the business to convert business objectives into tactical, client activity. They will develop marketing and messaging strategies to support prepositioning for major pursuits, advising business development teams throughout the work winning process and be expected to continuously champion the voice of the client.
Reporting to the Clients and Marketing Director the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate expertise and experience in creating and delivering strategic marketing campaigns. Leading on the messaging, channel management, tactics and measuring activity. A knowledge of the construction industry is desirable but not essential. The team is a centralised resource working with the EMEA business. Marketing strategies and client engagement programmes will be delivered by collaborating with sector and discipline leaders, developing plans which support business strategy and growth.
The manager is specifically responsible for delivering tactics to support our growth in the residential, offices and workplace and leisure sector. This includes driving specific initiatives within the sectors focused on growth including the future of work, modular housing, digital transformation and net zero/climate emergency response, both within the UK and across Europe, Middle East and Africa with the opportunity to lead on global initiatives.
The Clients and Marketing Manager will be responsible for understanding and creating engaging content, always ensuring that our communication and content is on brand. You will work collaboratively across the business – good communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
Key responsibilities include:
Create and implement integrated internal and external marketing communications campaigns and activities using multi-channel tools (e.g. events, thought leadership, digital, marketing collateral, media relations etc.)
Manage key activity for the sector such as events, webinars, client briefings to support the campaigns and measure and monitor effectiveness of use
Manage internal stakeholders to communication marketing and communications tools effectively and support taking this to clients through different platforms
Manage research to inform ongoing and future campaign development
Manage relationships with external membership bodies and institutions to elevate AECOM’s campaign and thought leaders
Work with AECOMs creative team (writers, designers and digital specialists) to create engaging content and manage programmes to deadlines
Manage and plan budgets effectively to create the best ROI
Report on campaign activity to leadership teams
Extensive experience, working in a similar role and position, in a professional services environment
Experience using InDesign
Experience using analytical marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Hoot Suite etc
An understanding of the construction industry and commercial and building sector
Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to prioritize multiple campaigns effectively
The role is based in our London office with the opportunity to work from other AECOM offices as appropriate.
Educated to degree level or equivalent with formal marketing training or qualification (e.g. CIM).
