A leading and long established Cargo company located at Heathrow, is seeking a Finance & Administration Manager for their busy cargo operation.
The Finance & Administration Manager will play a vital role in improving and maintaining the financial standing of the business. The ideal candidate will assist to determine financial strategy, manage all finance & admin based functions reporting into the Managing Director. The successful applicant will possess strong mentoring skills, share knowledge, adapt to change and have good communication skills. A freight/cargo background is essential is undertake this role.
·To provide monthly Management Accounts and Finance Pack (Profit & Loss, Balance sheet).
·To provide half year/year end packs to Group head office, including Inter-company reporting.
·Coordinate and produce Annual budget.
·Manage daily cash balances and cash flow.
·Oversee Credit Control with regular Aged Debtor reviews.
·Oversee Accounts Payable.
·Monitor & regularly review overheads.
·Maintain Accounting system (Sage 50).
·Quarterly VAT return.
·General administration: Annual company insurance, maintain HR system, Health & Safety.
·Coordinate and manage annual audit.
·Ensure compliance with UK and Group policies.
·Work closely with Revenue Accounts Manager to ensure all costs and accruals are captured.
·To provide Analysis and KPI’s for airline contracts.
·To be fully responsible for leading and managing 2 direct reports and ensuring the business vision, strategy and direction is clearly articulated.
·Motivate and inspire the team to build solid team spirit that drives operational and customer excellence.
·Work closely with Managing Director and Management team.
