Duties:Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting.
•Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming and changing bed linens.
•Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of clients.
•Observe, monitor and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly
report any changes to senior staff.
•Encourage clients to participate in social and recreational activities
•Pay particular attention to assisting residents who have limited mobility, or physical/learning difficulties
•Monitor residents who may be confused and/or who have behavioral problems.
•Assist in the promotion of continence.
•Observe care planning needs for Residents and complete written daily records
•Make visitors feel welcome.
•Make and change beds, ensuring that rooms are clean and tidy, and commodes are empty
•Clean and maintain equipment used by Residents / •Relatives e.g. wheelchairs, hearing aids, spectacles, etc
