Job Purpose:

Working within the central PSE (Professional Solutions Europe) Communications team and reporting to the head of PR and Internal Communications, you will be responsible for actively engaging employees in the strategy, performance, success stories and key initiatives in specified business divisions/areas.



Using clear, imaginative, and effective internal communications messaging, you will help employees understand the opportunities and challenges that exist within each PSE Business Group with the VP and respective leaders.



Deployment of messaging in the most effective way to be achieved using an optimal mix of available communications channels including the intranet, electronic newsletters, online and face-to-face events.



Although all content is delivered in English, your approach and deliverables will need to reflect and be sensitive to the differing nationalities and cultures within Sony Europe.



Key Responsibilities:


Emphasise shared company culture or values and behaviours that support business’s objectives.
Define what employees need to feel and know in order to internalise the above so that they will consistently demonstrate them in their work.
Benchmark employee engagement, attitudes, and knowledge in line with the above.
Define tactics/channels and content programme to deliver above.
Secure executive buy-in for the above.
Have the skills in the selected channels (platforms and tools) to deliver consistent and high-quality IC programme.
Continuously assess impact, refine and improve.
Build a strong network of relationships and strategic accountability across the business groups to ensure internal communications activity is connected to key developments as well as anticipating any key issues that may impact and interest staff.
Work closely with the European VP to develop and execute a compelling, rolling programme of internal staff communications that inspires, informs and educates a team of more than 500 employees working from office and home locations across Europe.
Create and execute innovative and compelling internal communications plans and campaigns for each assigned business group in conjunction with and as agreed by the respective leaders and managers.
Source, develop and deliver content in an effective and engaging way on key topics relating to each assigned business priority and the PSE values.
Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages.
Support SEU activities and events as appropriate and work with team colleagues and other managers on the internal aspects of any crisis communications activity.



Key Relationships:


PSE VP and Leadership Team.
Employees and senior management in the business areas assigned.
Relevant marketing, sales, technical departments and business support groups (HR, IS, etc.).
Other Corporate Communications colleagues (including in-country PR , Product PR and Corporate PR colleagues).




Qualifications & Experience:


Experience of working in media and communications, in a large organisation.
Experience in a B2B technology company will be an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills including: excellent and engaging copywriting and presentation skills, ability to quickly build trust and confidence at senior management levels and experienced in providing strategic counsel at all levels.
Excellent planning and project management.
Experience of delivering on-line and face-to-face employee events.
Experience of developing relationships with business leaders and managers at all levels.
