A leading trade supplier of uPVC building materials with over 100 branches/trade counters across the UK is looking to recruit a Regional Manager for the North East and Scotland Region. In this role you will be required to deliver the regional profit budget by leading and engaging branch teams to deliver great customer service, profitable growth and to operate with the highest regard to safety, to ensure operational best practice is embedded to deliver on working capital targets, specifically in stock and debtor management.
Day to day management of branches (multi brand) in the region in all commercial and operational aspects ensuring priority KPIs are met, e.g. branch GP%, OP%, stock days, aged debt % etc.
To undertake formal monthly branch reviews, documenting observations, agreeing actions and ensuring a timely follow up is in place
To work closely with the New Build and Trade Sales teams to deliver the customer value proposition consistently at the lower cost to serve.
Identify and contribute to the trade marketing plan by implementing local/national sales incentives, participating/leading product launches and supporting brand awareness activity.
Desirable skills and Experience Required
Leadership of a multi-branch trade counter / merchant business, ideally with experience of building products.
Self-motivated and driven, with an intimate understanding of customer needs in a trade counter / distribution environment.
Knowledge and experience within the cellular and building plastics industry, fenestration sector, or construction trade counter environment desirable.
Proven track record of delivering branch-based projects to time, to budget and to the right standard.
