An exciting vacancy has arisen to join the Pre-Registration Education Team as part of the Bucks Training Hub – hosted by Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust – to support learners within primary and community care settings. The post holder will support the Learning Environment Lead to grow a future nursing workforce within Primary Care – to maximise the knowledge and technical skill set within the AfC Bands 2-4 support workforce utilising training programmes and pre-registration level apprenticeships.

The post holder will be employed and supported by Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust and therefore work cohesively with the pre-registration and preceptorship teams as well as other faculty within the education department.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Registered Professional with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience. Applicants will have a strong clinical background, teaching experience and expert knowledge to support quality in the learning environment and enhance workplace learning for staff working within the primary care settings. The appointee will be highly motivated, creative and innovative – striving for excellence and will be passionate about supporting and facilitating the progression of others. Experience in community/primary care is a requirement.

This is advertised as fixed term position for 18 months, however may present more permanent opportunities in the future as the service evolves.

The pre-registration team are primarily based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, however cross-site working enables flexibility with work-bases. The post holder will be required to travel across the county and there will be opportunities to work at home subject to necessary risk assessments. As a general guideline, working hours are weekdays 9am-5pm or 8am-4pm.

The appointee will be enthusiastic about education and has a demonstrable portfolio of experience in supporting pre-registration learners. You will be well supported and have access to professional development, regular 1:1 support and monthly meetings.
