Fluor is seeking a Data Center Coordinator who will be part of an office which provides data center management oversight and strategic planning.
• Support and implement site data center management policies and guidance • Work with multiple stakeholders to deliver solutions for operational requirements. Work across the site and communicate up the command chain to resolve issues • Conduct periodic technical and safety inspections, capture findings in a database, and work with stakeholders to resolve identified discrepancies • Develop and conduct training on site data center policies and standards • As required, travel to offsite facilities for inspections and training • Ensure compliance with security access procedures, audit access logs and resolve access issues • As required, provide cleared escorting into data centers • As required, assist with site surveys and provide data center tours • Assist in data center auditing and configuration management (CM) • Work with various elements at site to evaluate, anticipate, and manage power, space and cooling requirements • Generate and review data center management policy and requirements documentation • Provide support to stakeholder data center projects and scheduling • Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements: • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and two (2) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements: • Must possess a clearance at the TS/SCI access level, and have favorably completed a government issued Polygraph • U.S. Citizen • Experience working in data centers • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to utilize multiple resources to arrive at a solution • Strong customer focus that includes demonstrated and consistent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to perform the required and expected duties with little or no direct supervision • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details • Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines • Demonstrate appropriate security and safety awareness Good MS Office skills
Preferred Qualifications: • Technical experience with data center power, space, and cooling • Experience with data center capacity management and planning • Experience with project management • An understanding of data center regulations, codes and standards • A working knowledge of DCIM software • A working knowledge of Microsoft Project
