The Pharmacy department at University hospitals Plymouth (UHP) are currently recruiting for Pre-registration pharmacy technicians to begin a vocational training programme commencing September 2020. The training opportunity is an advanced apprenticeship, full time, fixed term contract for 2 years. You will study to achieve:
Pharmacy Technician (integrated) apprenticeship
Training assessment and support will be provided by work based mentors and college tutors.
All apprenticeship standards will have an end-point assessment. An independent organisation will conduct an independent end-point assessment to ensure all apprentices are following the same standards and are being assessed consistently.
Successful completion of this qualification will enable you to apply for registration to practice as a registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC
Course Entry Requirements
Applicants with no Pharmacy experience
5 GCSE’s (or equivalent qualification) Grade C or above (4-9) including:
Applicants with Pharmacy experience
3 GCSE’s (or equivalent qualification) grade C or above (4-9) in Maths, science and one other. Plus certificated, or working towards at least two NVQ level 2 units in Pharmacy services.
The salary for this training post is 70% (year 1) & 75% (year 2) annex 21 of a band 4
£16.909 to £18.117 p.a you will receive 27 days annual leave per year plus bank holidays.
If you are invited for interview you will be expected to complete a short aptitude test that is designed to test your numeracy skills
Proposed interview dates will be on the 27-28 July 2020. Successful applicant(s) must be available to be in post by the 1st September 2020.
