We are looking for an experienced Head of Quality Assurance and Nursing to lead on development, review and implementation of quality assurance, management systems and processes and nursing strategy ensuring an effective framework of clinical governance is imbedded across the organisation.
To work effectively with all departments and have lead responsibility for ensuring all our services consistently meets with the requirements of, and where possible, exceeds 'The fundamental standards for care' as determined by the Care Quality Commission, or subsequent incoming regulator.
Championing change in culture across the organisation promoting positive management and staff behaviours and high standards of practice
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To keep abreast of the Regulatory and Statutory requirements appertaining to care services for older people.
- Working with the Health and Safety Manager take lead responsibility for Infection Prevention and Control across the organisation and providing assurance to the Chief Operating Officer that Infection Prevention and Control policies are fit for purpose.
- Lead responsibility for Safeguarding of Adults across the organisation and providing assurance to the Chief Operating Officer that Safeguarding policies and procedures are fit for purpose.
- To assist the Chief Operating Officer to identify and solve common operational issues, develop tactical plans to cost efficiently improve the care and quality performance.
- To maintain professional relationships with the statutory government registration bodies and client contract monitoring teams to ensure that Gold Care Homes (GCH) conforms to codes of practice guidelines and contract terms.
- Take responsibility for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of a service wide quality assurance framework
- To lead on the development of Care and Nursing Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure all quality audits are completed and remedial action taken in accordance with the GCH's quality management system and processes, and to personally undertake Quality Auditing as required.
- Lead on the process for stakeholder engagement within GCH utilising feedback to ensure GCH's services are aligned to meet both current and future stakeholder expectations.
- Lead responsibility for investigation of complaints ensuring compliance with the internal Complaints Procedure. Ensuring learning from complaints serves to further develop our services and improve practice reinforcing our values placing service users at the heart of what we do.
- To support in the development of existing and new services.
- Responsible for imbedding a process of continuous improvement in service provision, presenting development proposals as appropriate and ensuring excellence in Nursing Practice.
- Ensure the maintenance of professional standards of care in line with the Nursing and Midwifery (NMC) Code of Professional Practice, NICE and Skills for Care guidelines.
- To carry out any other duties as required ensuring the smooth operation of the company's business.
