Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist - UKIE

About the Opportunity
The Financial Alanning & Analysis Specialist role provides:
  • Quality, accurate and timely financial support through development and maintenance of financial planning and management reporting tools and related master data
  • Support as FP&A link to specific GBUs through forecasting/budget cycles and management reporting
To achieve success, the controller must ensure engagement with the controlling team and wider business to understand the requirements being placed on these areas.

Key responsibilities
  • Maintenance of Financial Planning and Management Reporting tools
  • Ensuring the tool meets the changing needs of internal customers
  • Provide support on other areas of development and maintenance
  • In order to understand the needs of internal customers and identify development opportunities a high level of engagement with those customers is required
  • Management Reporting
  • Oversight of financial analyst work thereon
  • Analyse operational expenses and headcount figures on a monthly basis
  • Look for opportunities to streamline and improve processes
  • Ensure readiness of responsible sections of financial planning model for each planning cycle
  • Support process with analytics
  • Provide appropriate challenge throughout the process
  • Ensure controls over data loads are run

About You
Essential requirements:
  • University Degree or equivalent
  • 2 - 4 years experience
  • A quick learner with strong PC and system skills
  • Experience in a commercial environment
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Aptitude for figures and presentation of financial data, including variance and trend analysis

It would be advantageous to have (not essential):
  • Experience of working with TM1 and SAP
  • Ability to prioritise activities
  • Ability to collaborate across an organisation and to operate successfully in a matrix environment
  • Proven experience of working with non-finance personnel
