We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic motivated Senior Sister/ Senior Charge Nurse for Ward23 Elderly Care and Acute Admission Unit for Neck of Femur, at Bradford Hospital NHS Trust
The Elderly and Intermediate Care Service in Bradford strives to provide safe, high-quality care to the older population of the region, and is a leader in the development of safe alternatives to acute care. .We offer a consultant-led service for people over the age of 77 (or sometimes those over 65 from care facilities, depending on clinical need), who are acutely unwell.
Ward23 is a 30 bedded ward and works closely with Ward 3, admissions and assessment unit, Intermediate Care wards, providing rehabilitation and restoring functional abilities and the Virtual ward to support older people at home.
The successful candidate will be dynamic, hardworking, exhibit excellent standards in communication and will be expected to lead and deliver high quality evidence based in timely care. They will possess the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with the admission and assessment unit, intermediate Care and the discharge team.
The post holder must be able to act as a strong role model and be able to support and direction to a team of nursing staff.
The post holder will be supported in their professional development and will have the opportunity to develop in leadership and management.
