We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Functional Skills Maths specialist to join our Family and Community Education Service (FACES). You will be supporting learners to overcome barriers to learning, encourage their progression, develop mathematical skills from a basic level leading to achievement of Maths qualifications up to Level 2. This will be a cross service role working as part of Lifelong Learning and Skills to improve maths teaching and learning as part of a Whole Organisation Approach.
We are looking for an innovative, self-motivated individual who can inspire and encourage adult learners to engage in learning, and to achieve accredited qualifications in a community setting in and around Sheffield.
Candidates will have a teaching qualification, as well as a specialism to teach maths within an adult learning setting. You will be able to develop online learning and be able to deliver using learner friendly platforms, as well as working across different sites across Sheffield. An ability to demonstrate an excellent track record of high teaching standards in a community environment would be an advantage.
