The UK and Global WI Operations Strategy team is responsible for coordinating launch readiness, new process design and management, and stakeholder communication of all initiatives impacting the Global WI Operations frontline and back office teams. The team maximise external and internal adoption and usage and minimise resistance. Working with stakeholders to drive fast adoption, higher ultimate utilisation and proficiency with the changes that impact Operational teams. This should increase benefit realisation, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes. These initiatives will be measured and supported by the team until completed and successfully deployed to the Operational teams. Globally there are a mix of in house and outsourced operational functions, you will work with the Head of WI Operations to ensure a globally recognisable best in class offering is achieved, constantly reviewing the suitability of the various solution options all fully grounded in a strong adherence to local regulatory regimes.

Purpose of your role

The purpose of this role is to support the Head of UK & Global WI Operations Strategy with the day to day management and coordination of essential activities within the Platform Development Programme or any change initiatives.

The role will involve streamlining activities based on the priorities, supporting change initiatives, tracking and reporting issues, production of change related MI and general administration activities. The Business Manager will handle day to day management responsibilities to allow the Head of UK WI Operations Strategy to focus on growing demands of the Programme and other business requirements. The role will work closely with senior leadership team as well as work strategically and collaboratively across departments, functions based in different sites and locations

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Head of UK & Global Workplace Investing Change and Strategy and coordinate the execution of day to day business management responsibilities with a focus on change management delivery support.
  • Facilitate and lead in business management matters, identify the areas which can be delegated, revisit regularly and evaluate progress.
  • Organise, review upcoming meetings and document key business meetings
  • Create actionable deliverables and ensure that meeting outcomes and deliverables are driven
  • Coordinate the execution of platform development initiatives and monitor initiatives depending on the priorities against the agreed timelines. Track and report issues wherever appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain an effective and strong working relationship with all partners and stakeholders to deliver outcomes and enhancements
  • Work collaboratively with other Global Businesses, Product, Technology and other key stakeholders to deliver on projects and initiatives
  • Providing support through data gathering, information analysing, and presenting considerations to relevant stakeholders
  • Production and coordination of data and MI to inform key business decisions with a core focus for change related MI
  • Contribute to a proactive and open culture across the business
  • Support workforce planning and coordinate or work with the relevant team to fulfill requirements relating to hiring and recruitment

Skills and Experience Required

  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organisation
  • Strong understanding of UK Pensions, business processes and controls with proven experience in a business operation or change management related areas would be desirable
  • Self-driven, outcome orientated and keen to learn
  • Ability to manage priorities and adapt to meet requirements of the team and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise, manage workload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Pro-active and self-motivated and ability to work under pressure
  • Good understanding of how people go through a change and the change process, understanding of organisational issues and challenges would be desirable
  • Strong MS office skills (particularly excel and powerpoint)
