We are looking for an experienced Clinical lead to support in managing and developing the delivery of high-quality nursing care at our care home in Hazel Grove. As the Clinical Lead you will manage, monitor and oversee all aspects of clinical care within the home. You will provide effective leadership and direction to nursing and care staff and help improve practice and care within the home.

Responsibilities for the Clinical Lead:
As Clinical Lead you will be responsible for defining, monitoring, and reviewing clinical standards for the delivery of care and implementing person-centred care plans incorporating risk assessments and other such relevant documentation that detail the action which needs to be taken by the care team to ensure that all aspects of the health, personal and social care needs of the residents are met.
You will be responsible for the effective and safe management of medicines within the home and undertaking compliance audits.
You will work closely with the General Manager to design, develop and implement training plans and appraisals of all staff but will take responsibility for ensuring that the clinical competences of nursing staff are monitored and kept current.
You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure that the care team delivers care to residents in accordance with all relevant legislation and local regulations, including the Care Standards Act 2018, will take a lead role during CQC Inspections and Quality Audits
You will also assess the benefits, disadvantages and implementation strategies for any proposed changes to the standards, policies, procedures and environmental changes that may impact the delivery of care
You will be capable of building strong enduring and professional relationships with our staff, residents and their families, and other care professionals from the local community. These relationships will be based on mutual respect and trust.
Skills and Experience
You will have at least three years experience in a similar role, with evidence of proven clinical management experience and on-going continuing professional development.
You will have a working knowledge of Health & Social Care Act 2008 and CQC Key Lines of Enquiry.
You will have excellent organisation, administrative, written and verbal skills and will be confident in your clinical ability, an excellent communicator and exceptional team leader
You will be able to demonstrate professional and clinical best practice, have a track record of delivering real improvements in care, can inspire a care team to improve and have a passion to raise standards in all aspects of care delivery
You will have demonstrable leadership and management skills, and IT skills and experience in Person Centred Software MCM system would be advantageous.
You will have the ability to source evidence-based and best practice guidance and be able to direct the overall operation of the clinical teams in accordance with CQC regulations, standards and guidelines.
