An exciting opportunity for a full time band 7 Contracts Manager within NHS Borders has arisen to provide a lead to the development, implementation and monitoring of Primary Care & Community Services contracts.
To provide Project management and lead responsibility for work streams relating to the local negotiation process and implementation of NHS Borders Contracts with General Medical Practitioners, General Dental Practitioners, Community Pharmacists and Ophthalmic Opticians within NHS Borders.
To ensure that nationally negotiated contracts are amended to reflect local interpretation and implementation across independent contractors with NHS Borders.
To provide local advice and expertise in the area of contract development, monitoring and review to the General Manager – Primary & Community Services, Primary, Acute & Community Board, in conjunction with the NHS Lothian Primary Care Contracts General Manager.
To ensure that the contracts implemented locally comply with the priorities identified within NHS Borders Local Delivery Plan and Borders Health & Social Care Partnership's Strategic Plan.
