Smart Teachers is recruiting Special Needs Teaching Assistants to work in a range of schools across the London borough of Hillingdon. The successful candidates will have the option of both long-term work (for the duration of the academic year at the same school) and shorter-term work (ad hoc/block bookings at a variety of schools). Positions across EYFS, Key stage 1 and 2 will be available. Smart Teachers require Special Needs TeachingAassistants to support children in a small group and 1:1 basis, working with children with a variety of needs. Experience supporting pupils with SEN (in a mainstream or SEN school is desirable but not essential). Experience with PECS and Makaton would also be desirable.

The role

  • SEN TA/ Special Needs Teaching Assistants to support children on a 1:1 basis
  • To help raise attainment and run interventions
  • Adhere strictly to school safeguarding policies, and provide equal learning opportunities for all children
  • To work closely with class teacher and SENCO
  • Pay is £65-75 per day

To be considered for the Special Needs Teaching Assistants position, you will:

  • Hold an DBS on the update service
  • Having experience working with children in the past two years, within the UK
