As the Operational Risk Manager duties of the role will include but are not limited to, supporting the development of the organisations risk vision and strategy, implementing new procedures and processes relating to risk management activities, to oversee and develop business plans and values of the organisation, to manage the risk framework and to continue its development, to partner across the organisation and ensure the process of risk management is standardised across the organisation, ensure the wider organisation understands how to use the framework and how to manage their own operational risks, providing risk management training and education to enhance the awareness and understanding of risk within the business, monitor and improve current key processes and procedures, dealing with queries and any other ad hoc duties.
The successful candidate will:
Have worked in a similar role previously
Have an excellent understanding of corporate governance and risk management processes and procedures
Have a strong understanding of the associated risk and control frameworks
Have excellent communication skills
Be confident to improve processes and procedures
Be able to identify risk and implement ways to reduce risks going forward
