Shared Service Procurement Specialist

We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Specialist on a 6 month fixed term contract for our newly created Shared Service centre in Telford.

The role will focus on the processing of Procurement operations, with the ideal candidates having extensive experience of SAP, especially with the SAP MM / SRM module. The position will work closely with Functional Leads (e.g. Sourcing, Finance, Operations) as well within the shared service Procure to Pay Team.

In this role the key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating procurement processes including: Purchase requisitions, maintenance and processing of purchase orders, monitoring of purchase orders, handling of supplier claims, support of performing spend analyses, support at vendor sourcing process and also vendor maintenance in collaboration with our group procurement team.
  • Drive end-to-end process improvement, find opportunities to lead standardization and consistency for process automatization
  • Analyse current state processes and systems, business requirements and future state processes and systems
  • Supporting the process solution development / design activities
  • Promoting teamwork

Key skills & experience

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Business Economics, Supply Chain or comparable academic studies
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the area of Procurement, Supply Chain or similar
  • Experience in SAP MM, SAP BW
  • Experience in SRM / Ariba / E-Procurement
  • Detailed understanding of Procurement processes and experience in operational processing of procurement-related operations (e.g., Purchase Order Processing)
  • Strong analytical skills
