The Head of Automated Production

• Defines, develops and owns the Automated Production Design and exploitative strategy to meet business requirements
• Define, deliver and own the strand objectives to meet business KPI's
• Own and manage the staff and non-staff finances
• Manage technical demand and change to meet business strategic decisions
• Develop a professional learning organisation of continuous improvement & a people learning culture
• Deliver Compliance to machinery safety standards to meet legislative requirements
• Sets project technical timescales for the strand team
• Sets the benchmark and innovation design solutions for the latest technology to support automated strategy
• Head of a team of senior professionally qualified engineers and engineering technicians
• Responsible for the technical sourcing for the strategy to move to 100% automation
• Responsible for the design and deployment of automated production standardised layout

The Head of Automation Production (Engineering) requires:

• Recognised Qualification in an Engineering, Technical or Scientific Discipline (Level 6 or 7 e.g. BSc, MENG)
• Recognised Accreditation from an Institution or Professional Counselling Body (Incorporated or Chartered Level)
• Recognised Qualification in Health & Safety Management (IOSH)
• Expert knowledge of designing & deploying automated processes and managing production asset life cycle management standards
• Expert knowledge of cost versus risk and change management theories to develop and deliver strategies and business models
• Able to conduct detailed data analysis, apply systematic problem-solving techniques, and effectively prioritise available resources.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to effectively communicate and translate technical engineering knowledge to a wide range of audiences combined with the ability to build and develop a team and its individuals
