Our client secondary school situated in the south of the Trafford LEA is looking for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant who is able to support in a full 360 degree role. This position will entail supporting as a general class Teaching Assistant as well as working with smaller groups who have specific special needs and requirements. As a successful SEN TA, you will be expected to have experience of supporting individuals with SEN previously, which may be in a school setting or another related environment. Any experience of specific needs such as Dyslexia, Autism or moderate learning difficulties is desirable in this role.
The successful SEN TA will be working with a range of students across the age range from year 7 to year 11. There will however, be a focus on working with the new year 7 students transitioning into secondary school and finding the environment challenging.

All staff are friendly and supportive each other and whilst the successful SEN TA won’t be expected to work with college/sixth form students, the school does have the provision for further education.
