University College London Hospitals is seeking to appoint a Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry with a commitment to high quality patient care, innovative service models, delivery of performance targets, and excellence in education/training.

This is a 10 PA Consultant post in the Department of Paediatric Dentistry, within the Division of Craniofacial Growth and Development at the Eastman Dental Hospital.

The postholder will be expected to show drive and initiative towards patient care putting the patient first in line with the Trust core values. The postholder will be expected to have a high level of knowledge and expertise in the field of Paediatric Dentistry. He/she should have a specific interest and experience in complex problems and multidisciplinary work. He/she will play a key role in the clinical supervision and training of specialist trainees and postgraduates. The postholder should demonstrate a high quality approach to patient management. As the postholder will be an integral part of the departmental team, the ability to lead and work as a team member is essential.

The postholder will be expected to have the experience, personal engagement and enthusiasm for teaching and training. He/she will also be expected to participate in issues such as clinical effectiveness relating to patient management, share in the administrative tasks in the Department and Division where appropriate, and provide consultant cover as necessary. The postholder will be expected to undertake mandatory training in line with the requirements of the Department and the Trust.

Commitment to the team's QEP programme and demonstrating engagement in the delivery of continuous improvement to meet the QEP agenda, driving forward improvements in resource utilisation and waste reduction.
