We are looking for a motivated registered nurses to join the Acute Medical Unit.
The Acute Medical Unit is a 30 bedded unit that receives patients directly from GP’s and Emergency Department. We can see around 1400 admissions per month so we have a high turnover of patients. We ensure all emergency admission patients receive seamless, high quality care at the point of admission. The AMU is a fast paced admissions unit and we see a variety of specialties including Cardiology, mental health, Gastroenterolgy, Respiratory.

We are offering you an interesting and varied role where you will be working as part of a friendly team which can provide you with the opportunity to develop your leadership and clinical skills in the field of acute medicine.
You will maintain a high standard of patient care under the direction of the Ward Sisters. You will act as a leader in the clinical area, in the absence of a more senior member of staff. You will also work in accordance with the principles laid down by the Nursing/Midwifery professional bodies and Trust Policies as well as the Poole Approach.
Please note: if this post requires you to have a DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the role, on appointment you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed from your salary.
