We’re looking for a DC Flow Room Technician to be part of our brand new VF Distribution Centre in Coalville.

What will the DC Flow Room Technician be responsible for?
Ensure departmental compliance to all site health and Safety, security and environmental policies
Contribute to site Purpose commitments through actively supporting Environmental and Wellbeing initiatives on Site
Execute event strategy to optimise system performance, contributing to cost efficiencies in labour & maintain customer failure rate below tolerance for Late Despatch and Nil Picks
Optimise storage and conveyor utilisation at every process stage to minimise storage requirement and transport movements
Monitor reporting tools to ensure performance meets the required standards. Identify and implement countermeasures where required, escalate when necessary
Working with the Planning Analysts & System Specialist to deliver future change improvements
Monitoring system performance and ensuring that availability is maximised throughout
Lead by example in embedding a culture of outstanding communication and achievement, taking opportunities to engage with other teams across all shifts
Your qualifications & profile
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and /or abilities required for the individual to be successful in this position.
Proven technician experience working in a fast-paced environment providing a high standard of leadership
Working as part of a team of skilled technicians in a Flow Room environment with strong peer to peer management, experienced in relationships for both internal and external teams
Good analytical background, able to demonstrate decision led leadership.
Detailed understanding of the functionality and operation of warehouse control systems (WCS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for automated distribution centres
Experience of working in a large-scale automated distribution facility, preferably with experience of working with multiple MHE solution providers
The ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written formats. Presents information and proposals in a professional, structured and persuasive way, eliminating ambiguity.
