We are looking for an experienced Credit Risk Manager to join The Nottingham during an exciting period or transformation and change for the Society. We are looking for a Credit Risk Manager to own and develop the key Credit Risk models including IFRS 9, simulation models and scorecards. You will lead the analysis of The Nottingham’s mortgage portfolio with respect to customer and portfolio analytics, covering scorecard developments, credit risk policy analysis and detailed portfolio and customer-level analysis.
You will be The Nottingham’s recognised subject matter expert for credit risk analysis, staying abreast of the latest analytical techniques, with regular interactions with The Nottingham’s Finance, Operations, IT and Product functions.
This role suits a Credit Risk Manager looking for more exposure to develop their skills and their career in Credit Risk; this role offers a perfect blend of necessary and important BAU activity but also the opportunity to shape processes and make efficiencies whilst also representing the function as a subject matter expert on some exciting Society wide projects.
We are looking for individuals who are adaptable, open to change and are able to lead, motivate and develop the team of 2 Credit Risk Analysts.
The role –
·Ownership of The Nottingham’s credit risk models (including IFRS 9, simulation models and scorecards), ensuring they are fit for purpose, compliant with regulations and standards and in line with model governance requirements
·To support the Policy Credit Risk Manager with the development and update of The Nottingham’s appetite for mortgage credit risk
·Ensure that the 1st line Credit Risk team are in compliance with all relevant guidance, regulations and legislation and to ensure any necessary analysis is carried out within the team at the required frequency
·Report on any regulatory gap analysis to the Prudential Regulation Oversight Committee
·Provide detailed MI and commentary to Credit Committee, ALCO, Executive Risk Committee and the Board on a monthly basis on new business and existing book – including information against controls and risk appetite
·Support the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis in strategic projects, such as IT transformation projects, acting as a key delivery owner for the Risk components of such projects
·To design and deliver appropriate model management information to ensure that models continue to work within agreed tolerances or to inform decisions on when a model needs redevelopment
·Lead the production of the Credit Risk section of the ICAAP, including the calculation of the Society’s Total Capital Requirement and stress testing the portfolio
·Develop, motivate and lead a team of 2 Credit Risks Analysts
