You will be working in an enthusiastic and friendly multidisciplinary team comprising two Consultants, Specialist Nurses, a GPVTS trainee, Nurse Practitioners, an Osteoporosis Nurse, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.

The department runs an Early Inflammatory Arthritis clinic, a RA annual review clinic and a SpA clinic. The department has its own MSK Ultrasound to assist with the EIA clinic. Moreover, there is DEXA scan capability within the hospital and the osteoporosis service is being currently being developed.

Initially the post will be offered on a 10PA contract with 8.5 programmed activities for direct clinical care and 1.5PA for supporting professional activities. There is the potential to increase this to a 12PA contract to reflect the development of a special interest or additional direct clinical sessions. The job plan will be reviewed after 3 months in post.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn (QEH) is an established, fully equipped 485 bed general hospital on the outskirts of King’s Lynn, Norfolk. The hospital is only 6 miles from the Sandringham Estate and around a 30 minute drive from the North Norfolk coast, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

The hospital provides healthcare services to West and North Norfolk in addition to parts of Breckland, Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire. The population of this area is approximately 331,000 people. The population profile includes a high proportion of older residents; however, new housing developments in recent years have seen large population growth of principally young families. The Trust provides a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, obstetrics and community-based services. The Trust works with neighbouring hospitals for the provision of tertiary services and is part of regional partnership and network models of care, such as the trauma network.
