A leading Semiconductor company in the Manchester area are looking for an Applications Engineer - Analogue / Power to join their technical team.
The purpose of this Applications Engineer - Analogue / Power job is to work within the company's Discrete Business Group and you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, product development teams and sales teams.
Key responsibilities of the Applications Engineer - Analogue / Power: * Schematic design, PCB design of prototypes, evaluation boards and reference designs * Customer support, including training, technical support, troubleshooting, design support and site visits on a European and Worldwide basis * Working with the development and marketing teams to ensure product attributes and commercial objectives are met * Carrying out customer application defined measurements, developing bench test facilities as required
Skills required for the Applications Engineer - Analogue / Power job: * Experience of circuit design is essential, ideally PSU, motor control, lighting etc. * The ability to explain technical aspects and concepts to technical and non-technical people combined with commercial understanding * Ability to design and build analogue circuits, bench test them using appropriate techniques and equipment * Ability to analyse application circuit behaviour, trouble shoot issues and optimise performance
