We’re searching for qualified and experienced registered mental health nurses for exciting new roles within our Secure Services Directorate at Langdon Hospital in Dawlish.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) you will use your skills, knowledge and understanding of mental health care to assess patients, then develop, implement and evaluate a programme of care for them.
The Secure Services Directorate can be challenging, but the work is highly rewarding. As a trust, we embrace the recovery approach, embracing a holistic approach to care. You will be willing to lead, inspiring your colleagues to deliver care that helps patients on the road to recovery.
This is an exciting time to be joining us as we continue to grow and improve. We’re committed to helping you become the best you can be and offer significant opportunities for development, alongside an attractive benefits package and a rewarding working environment.
You will be passionate about making a difference to people’s lives. You will be responsible for managing and directing the care of some of the most vulnerable people we are responsible for, many of whom will have complex and ongoing needs.
You will use your skills and experience to develop packages of treatment that focus on recovery, where possible, helping the people we care for to regain some independence. We call it ‘inspiring hope – together’.
An experienced and qualified nurse, you will be able to demonstrate specific examples of how your involvement has improved patient care, the patient experience and how you have influenced teams to deliver high-quality care.
The role involves deputising for more senior staff and setting an example for other members of staff. You will exemplify the recovery approach, taking a holistic approach to care that involves the entire person.
Personally, you will be a clear and confident communicator, capable of interacting and working effectively with people who use our services, their families and carers, staff and stakeholders from all backgrounds.
Working independently, you will make decisions that change lives every single day.
Our Secure Services are recognised as being some of the best in the country with a nationally recognised Recovery College on site – The Discovery Centre.
We provide a positive environment in which to deliver high quality care, therapy and recreation. The overall focus of care within our Secure Service is upon personal recovery – supporting people to attain their goals, to achieve a sense of hope, opportunity and control and to move towards independence.
Based at Langdon Hospital our 111 acre site offers free parking, a patient-led café and spectacular views across the Dawlish coast and countryside.
