This role would suit an applicant with experience in a Credit Controller role reducing aged debt and building strong relationships, both internally with wider colleagues and externally with customers and debtors.
As Credit Controller, you will be directly reporting the Financial Controller, managing and reducing the debt for parent and subsidiary companies.
You will assist in maintenance of the sales ledger, reduce any aged debt and debtor days as well as prevent the culmination of customer debt by taking and chasing payments required. Some other duties include preparing and posting invoices, updating the sales ledger and producing regular reports for review.
You will be a confidently spoken candidate, who speaks at ease and professionally with colleagues and customers. You will be proactive, somebody who can confidently discuss any issues at hand with colleagues, as well as making and acting on suggestions and improvements.
The ideal candidate will hold great integrity and work ethic, as well as an ability to show tenacity where required. You will be able to show real initiative and thrive in situations which require investigation and problem solving.
Experience in a similar Credit Control role is essential. You will have strong Excel skills, be confident using Sage and have strong Literacy skills.
Working alongside experienced, approachable professionals, you will have the support of a small Finance team with a real family feel. You will be assisting and reporting directly to an experienced Financial Controller in a fast paced, but professional environment.
