Empowering Learning Manchester are currently looking for a caring and nurturing teaching assistant, to join an outstanding and successful school in Bolton, to start ASAP.
This is a full time, long-term role, with the potential of a permanent contract, paying up to £85 a day
We are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant on behalf of a Special School in Bolton, which caters for students from 4 -11 years old. This is an OFSTED, 'Good' school for children with Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Autism. The curriculum and learning environment of each class are carefully created to provide appropriate and exciting learning opportunities for the children.
The staff at the school are caring, experienced and committed to meeting the individual needs of every child and to creating a happy, safe and secure environment.
The school is based in Bolton, with excellent public transport links and ample parking available.
This Special School is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who can provide 1-1 support for a new child to the school. The child has Autism and will involve ensuring that they have access to the curriculum.
You will be required to support the child throughout class, helping with the delivery of phonics, literacy and numeracy.
Successful candidates will have strong behaviour management and a good curriculum knowledge. You must have prior experience of supporting children with special needs and be a committed practitioner who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role.
To be successful in this role you must have precious experience of working within an SEN environment, be patient, caring, nurturing and to adapt a hands on approach to all tasks given.
