An Equinix Account Executive is responsible for Initiating and building long-term relationships between Equinix and its future clients. The Account Executive will typically approach clients from a solutions and strategic sales perspective to retain and grow revenues / margin from key accounts on a direct and sell-through basis. The Account Executive shall be able to understand customer requirements and needs to then accurately qualify, scope, derive and package adequate solutions that are enhanced by Equnix’s industry leading value proposition.

What is this role about?

The UK Field sales team is the largest Field Sales team in EMEA, and one of the largest in the Equinix Sales organisation. Predominantly based in the heart of London, Devonshire Square offers a collaborative, diverse & vibrant work environment that allows our team to excel.

As a team we target organisations based within the following Sectors:

  • Content, Media

  • Gaming

  • Retail & E-Commerce

  • Travel & Leisure

  • Cloud & IT

As an Equinix Account Executive, you will be required to find and onboard New business to Equinix. You will lean on your strong network of partners to create a proposition that encompasses the future needs of those New business targets. You will have a wide team of resource to support when executing on your business plan, from specialists in Marketing, Sales Engineering, Global Solutions Architects, through to Vertical specialists. This role requires internal collaboration as well as external.

  • Management and maintenance of client accounts.
  • Establish deep and wide relationships with target accounts to build loyalty & grow revenue.
  • Achieve quarterly sales quota.
  • Building strong relationships with key partners
  • Creating and managing sales and activity forecasts.
  • Develop and execute on account strategies.
  • Conduct client presentations and arrange Project Management meetings to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Conduct site visits.
  • Provide support to and liaise with Sales staff, Accounts, Operations and Facilities.
  • Maintenance of accurate customer records and adherence to the company’s sales and administrative processes and procedures.
