As a Barclays Asset Management within Project Finance, you will be a lender representative looking after the Syndicated and Bilateral Credit Facilities portfolio. You will be part of the Europe and Middle East Structured Lending team, which comprises some 150+ project transactions and has full interaction with several other team. You will have exposure with clients, credit and the business on a daily basis. It is a very diverse team comprising of both multi-cultural and international employees.
What will you be doing?
• Being a lender representative for barclays and performing the loan asset management of the syndicated and bilateral loans portfolio• Taking direct responsibility and monitoring designated portfolio and producing recommendations to the Credit department in respect of all type of borrower requests • Having an engagement with borrowers, facility agents, internal legal and external legal firms and technical advisers for the preparation of reports to support credit recommendations• Being responsible to ensure all the files are KYC compliant at all times• Engaging with origination and execution for the provision of all relevant information pertaining to their sectorial responsibility• Ensuring that sums due (e.g. principal, interest, fees repayments) are collected and properly accounted for internally, where applicable• Complying with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements
What we’re looking for:
• Project finance experience is preferred• University qualification or equivalent• A good understanding of infrastructure and project finance structures• Understanding of the fundamentals of project and infrastructure finance, in particular complex loan and security documentation
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex cash flows and basic understanding of financial models and other financial information• Candidate ideally would be a subject matter expert in managing complex loan agreements that are individually negotiated• Ideally has some credit experience to understand and interpret financial statements, cash flows and financial covenants
