The opportunity

As a Senior Manager within the Supply Chain Transformation (SCT) Consulting practice, you will get the opportunity to work with some of the UK's largest companies and government organisations across many aspects of their global supply chains.

You will be part of a collaborative team that applies the latest technologies, analytics and principal methodologies to help transform clients' supply chains and make a real difference to our working world.

You will develop innovative solutions for our clients and have opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies such as robotic process automation, machine learning and Block Chain; as well as supply chain software platforms like OMP, o9, Kinaxis, SAP IBP & S/4 HANA.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, SCT, you will build valued relationships with external clients and internal peers and start to build a portfolio of business.

You will typically spearhead external projects for EY and be the primary point of engagement with the client with the support of senior management. In this role, you will manage and coach a team of consultants and be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, including deliverables, finances, resourcing, quality management and client relations.

You will also be involved in business development, running project bids, writing proposals and pitching to clients.

As a subject matter expert on one or more areas of supply chain, you will leverage your knowledge and experience to shape client solutions. You will work with EY internal communities to develop new applicable methodologies, tools and thought leadership to help differentiate EY in the market.

You will be comfortable managing teams of at least 4-5 people including client and internal staff, developing the team through effective supervising, coaching, and mentoring. As team leader you will self-sufficiently handle your deliverables, consistently quality assess and drive projects to completion.

Operating Model Design, segmentation strategy, inventory optimisation and Planning Transformation
Supply Chain Planning Functional
Demand and supply planning, sales & operations planning, and/or production scheduling with consumer goods experience
Supply Chain Planning with Technology
Implementing one of the following technology platforms, either from a Business Integrator, Systems Integrator or Client role:
OMP; Kinaxis; o9; SAP IBP; Blue Yonder; SAP S/4 HANA
Supply Chain Analytics
Developing detailed supply chain analytics to deliver enhanced E2E SC visibility e.g. creating and connecting supply chain models to customer and pricing analytics
Digital Supply Chain
Applying or implementing next-generation supply chain technologies such as Robotic Process Automation, cognitive automation and AI, Internet-of-Things (IOT), Blockchain, big data analytics
Logistics
Logistics network design and network modelling, global customs and trade, warehouse optimisation and redesign, 3PL and 4PL or supply chain Control Tower management

To qualify for the role you must have
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in consulting and/or an operational role in the following industries: Consumer Products; Retail; High Tech; Energy & Assets; Utilities; Telecommunications; Oil & Gas; Industrial Products; Automotive; Defence; Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences; Public Sector
  • Knowledge and experience in at least one of the aforementioned skill areas
  • Successful track record in people management, leadership, and business development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to adapt your style to engage effectively and build productive working relationships with clients and team members of varying seniority
  • Proactive approach, able to work in different environments to deliver high quality work products
  • Innovative qualities, thinking about how to do things in new, more efficient ways, both internally and with clients

Ideally, you'll also have
  • Ability to obtain BPSS security clearance for engagements, where required
