At our specifically developed facility in Bridgend our analysts undertake chemical analysis of drinking water and all associated samples from water treatment works, service reservoirs, customer taps and catchment surveys to ensure that the water we provide our customers is of the highest quality. In this role you will be part of a team who manage a high volume of complex work streams using the laboratory computer system to ensure samples are tested within the required priority deadlines. You will ensure that all aspects of chemical testing are carried out using the correct procedures, processes and methods documented within our bespoke Quality Management System to ensure we remain compliant with the ISO17025 and Regulation standards.Let’s talk about what skills or experience you’ll need to be able to do the job.
This specific role will be using manual testing equipment to test different samples which we have received, for example this could be using a pH meter to test the water and confirming the readings. This is the perfect opportunity for you to be able to put into practice the theory which you will have gained at school or Uni. This role will require you to have a strong attention to detail as initially you will be required to carry out the same sort of analysis on a significant number of samples on a daily basis. The ability for you to progress from this though is strong, as we have a number of different methods in the team and with a clear technical competency framework, we will train you on different techniques to provide a fully rounded programme for you to flourish. You will be required to work a 37 hour week across 7 days. Our offices are a 24/7 operation and there will be a requirement to partake in a standby rota.Qualifications:
