What you'll do

You'll be researching, gathering, developing, evaluating and prioritising financial crime intelligence from a variety of internal and external sources. We'll also need you to work closely with Mettle Financial Crime Operations to identify trends and themes emerging from front line processes such as customer onboarding, transaction monitoring and due diligence reviews. You'll deliver intelligence, investigation and reporting products in a timely, effective and professional manner.

You’ll also be:

  • Contributing to the development of public and private sector collaboration to understand and manage financial crime risk to the bank, customers, industry and UK
  • Supporting the leadership team in driving continuous effectiveness and efficiency improvements across the team and its processes
  • Working with colleagues to help support and build a highly effective, professional and diverse team that can deliver stretch targets to facilitate the success of the function
  • Contributing to the continuous development and enhancements of the financial crime risk management framework and control environment

The skills you'll need

You'll be experienced at investigating financial crimes, but not necessarily in the context of banking. People skills are important as you'll be representing Mettle to a variety of stakeholders and building and maintaining productive relationships with them.

You’ll also need:

  • An understanding of the broad needs of internal and external partners and an ability to build effective relationships
  • Qualitative analysis skills, with the ability to evaluate non-numerical, unstructured, ambiguous information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate your ideas in a clear and concise way
