We are now looking for a Research Associate to join our expanding Research and Development Team in Southampton.

As a Research Associate, you will join our R&D function and be primarily tasked with developing and testing products to ensure that regulatory and customer requirements are met.
Assisting in the design and written protocols for development studies, you will assist in the execution of development studies and help with data analysis and report writing.
Specifically, your role will involve:
- Contributing to the development of the CE marking pipeline - Supporting the CE Marketing Scientist - Participating in R&D project team meetings - Assisting with lab and assay design-related activities - Ensuring research documentation is completed, including technical summaries - Providing progress reports for projects - Frequently handling valuable clinical samples
To be considered as a Research Associate, you will need:
- At least two years’ experience within a similar scientific role in industry - Previous PCR knowledge and hands-on experience - Strong laboratory experience and confidence - At a minimum, a bachelor’s degree qualification (or equivalent) in a research field - The ability to work well within a team - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Excellent organisational skills and an outstanding attention to detail
Ideally, you will have experience of working within a quality system, particularly ISO 13485, but this is not essential. Previous experience in scientific product development or creating complex study designs would also be beneficial.
