Finance Assistant

We are seeking a strong Finance Assistant, to support our Financial Controller and Management Accountant in general accounting duties, including multi-currency bank reconciliations, purchase ledger and other general accounting duties. This individual will be proactive and be someone who takes responsibility and is comfortable working in fast-paced environment. You will also be an integral part of the Finance team and will work collaboratively with colleagues and senior leaders to ensure the Finance function is providing an optimum service


  • Reconciliation of multicurrency and multiregional bank accounts to bank counterparty records;
  • Communicate reconciling items to Operational Teams, monitor progress and escalate issues to the appropriate Finance Managers;
  • Reconcile foreign exchange trades with broker counterparties and arrange and monitor settlements;
  • Monitor and report broker positions;
  • Maintain the purchase ledger and ensure all purchase orders and supplier invoices are processed timely and accurately;

Processing supplier payments

  • Ad-hoc assistance with month end reporting and invoicing
  • Supporting the Affiliate sales team and responding to affiliates requests for statements, generating and reviewing affiliate commission statements and other genral affiliate
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Other treasury related tasks as directed by the Finance Team;
  • Support the Finance Director and Finance team as and when required


  • Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant or similar role (reconciliations, purchase ledger)
  • Experience in working within a global finance function across various time zones working in a flexible manner
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent numeracy skills
  • Sound level of IT literacy including ability to handle large volumes of numerical data, spreadsheets and knowledge of PC operations and software are needed; particularly Excel
  • Time management skills, with the ability to multi task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
