The Intensive Psychological Therapies Service is a forward thinking, dynamic group treatment service for people with personality disorder. Our therapies include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Radically Open DBT (Ro-DBT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic professional to join our DBT team for 22.5 (0.6 WTE) hours per week. You should have a recognised qualification in one of the core mental health professions e.g. psychology, psychiatric nursing, social work or occupational therapy, and previous experience in mental health. Experience of DBT is desirable for band 6 as training will be provided however this is essential for band 7.
Training, supervision and research are given a high priority within the service. IPTS has close links with both Southampton and Bournemouth Universities and a number of outcome and process research projects are currently in progress. In 2000 we were awarded an NHS Beacon for being a model of good practice. We are a multidisciplinary team, dedicated to providing high quality, evidence based therapies for this patient group.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £40 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.
Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
