Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust. is an innovative NHS pathology service, established to secure and develop pathology services for clinicians and their patients in Brighton, and across Sussex.
We provide pathology services in a wide variety of settings, serving our founding Trusts, other NHS and private hospitals and primary care organisations.
The Blood Sciences Service is based on three sites at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton and Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath.
We hold UKAS accreditation and offer excellent training and staff development opportunities.
A full range of clinical services including Haematology, Immunohaematology, Coagulation and Blood Transfusion serve our busy hospitals, including a Level 1 trauma centre.
'Candidates requiring to complete a specialist portfolio will be considered'.
Applicants must be HCPC registered, hold an IBMS Specialist Portfolio and have extensive post registration experience in a routine diagnostic blood sciences laboratory.
The successful applicant must be conscientious and enthusiastic and able to work well as part of a team. Applicants must be prepared to work and attend meetings at any of the three sites. They will partcipate in the extended working shift pattern and is also expected to participate in the 24/7 shift system.
